Who are the hosts of Wheel of Fortune?

SINCE debuting in 1975, Wheel of Fortune has seen a few hosts and hostesses.

On June 12, 2023, Pat Sajak announced he will be leaving Wheel of Fortune after season 41.

Who are the hosts of Wheel of Fortune?

Wheel of Fortune was first hosted by Chuck Woolery from 1975 until his departure in December 1981.

He ultimately left the show following a dispute with creator Merv Griffin over his salary.

Woolery was then replaced by Pat Sajak, who has hosted the show for over 40 years.

Since joining in 1981 Sajak has received 19 nominations for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host, which he won three times.

Sajak's co-host, Vanna White, joined the show shortly after in 1982.

Since her debut on Wheel of Fortune, White has appeared in more than 7000 episodes of the famous game show.

White was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in April 2006.

Pat Sajak was the longest running host before announcing his retirement from the show.

Who is replacing Pat Sajak?

On June 27, 2023, it was announced that Ryan Seacrest will be replacing Pat Sajak as the new host of Wheel of Fortune.

The American Idol host will be hosting alongside Vanna White.

On April 13, 2023, Seacrest departed from Live with Kelly and Ryan.

He was later replaced by Kelly Ripa's husband Mark Consuelos.

Season 41 of Wheel of Fortune will begin on September 12 and see new contestants try and figure out the show's challenging puzzles.

Fans can watch all the action live on weekdays on CBS, starting at 7pm EST.
