Dancing On Ice’s Billie Faiers forced to quit show after fall during rehearsals leaves her concussed
DANCING On Ice’s Billie Faiers has been forced to quit the competition before tonight’s show after hitting her head on the rink in a fall.
The ex-Towie star, 31, was left with concussion and ordered by medics to pull out of the ITV series for her own safety.

The mum-of-two was rehearsing with her pro partner Mark Hanretty, 35, on Friday at the studios at Bovingdon Airfield, Herts, when she slipped.
On-site medics checked her over, before she was taken to hospital yesterday for an MRI scan to detect any damage to her head.
Now Billie has been asked to rest on doctor’s orders and must leave the competition as she missed last weekend’s show after the death of her gran.
A source close to the star said: “Billie is absolutely gutted. She’s been really upset all day and would have done anything to stay in the competition.

“But it’s doctor’s orders and she has to put her safety first.”
An ITV spokeswoman said: “During rehearsals for this week’s show, Billie Shepherd has had a fall.
“Taking the expert advice of the Dancing on Ice medical team, she sadly cannot perform this weekend and will therefore now withdraw from the competition.
“We wish Billie well as she now takes the time to recover.”

The show has been cursed with injuries this year — and has already run out of reserve skaters for the first time.
The Sun on Sunday revealed last month how Denise Van Outen, 46, fractured her shoulder in three places during rehearsals, which meant she had to abandon the series after the first show.
Last week comedian Rufus Hound, 41, had to leave after testing positive with Covid.
Reserves Amy Tinkler, 21, and comedian Matt Richardson, 29, have stepped in to replace them.

Show co-presenter Phillip Schofield, 58, confirmed “I asked my team and we realised that this is the first time ever we’ve used both of our reserves.”
Yesterday show favourite Faye Brookes said she was terrified ahead of tonight’s live show after she a had bad fall in rehearsals.
The ex-Coronation Street star, 33, took a tumble on the ice rehearsing an ominously-named skating trick called the Death Swan with her skating partner Hamish Gaman, 37.
The tricky move, invented by Hamish, sees the actress lifted into the air mid-performance.

But the pair toppled and ended up crashing on to the ice on Wednesday while trying to master it before tonight’s show.

Faye, who is performing a ballet-themed dance to Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, told The Sun on Sunday: “We’ve had a big fall. If that happens on the night I’m going home. Not one has gone right.”
A TV source added: “Faye has been pulling out all the stops. She really doesn’t want to take a fall on national TV.”
