AUSTRALIA'S series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! took a horrific turn after a contestant was bitten by a SNAKE in distressing scenes.
Former Bachelor star Abbie Chatfield, 25, screamed in pain during the horror trial, which saw the reptile wrap its jaw around her hand.
The full scene is set to air on today's episode of the Oz reality show, with Abbie shown being comforted by host Dr Chris Brown as a snake handler tries to remove the animal.
In the terrifying clip, the snakes can be heard hissing as Abbie sticks her arm into a box for one of the tasks.
She then lets out a bloodcurdling scream as her face grimaces with pain, repeatedly shouting: "It's biting me! It's biting me!"
Chris heads over at the same time as the expert, reassuring her: "It's okay, Abbie - just keep calm, it's okay; hold my hand."
Abbie then falls to the floor as the handler desperately tries to free her hand from the snake's jaws.
The reality star sobs once she is released - visibly in pain and shock - although the snakes used on the show are not thought to be venomous.
Abbie is not the only I'm A Celeb contestant this series to suffer such an ordeal, with 48-year-old actress Toni Pearen repeatedly bitten on the face by a snake during another trial earlier this month.
She struggled to stay calm as she stuck her head into a Perspex box full of pythons, with one of the snakes biting her nose and cheeks as she became increasingly distressed.
Toni was shaking and crying when she escaped from the box, with concerned host Julia Morris calling out for a medic.
Dr Chris later confirmed that Toni had been bitten five times by a juvenile jungle carpet python, insisting that the snake was just "curious" about the celeb.

The vet explained at the time: "The thing about these snakes is when they are young, they have teeth, they just don't really know how to use them.
"So he was a little bit surprised to have Toni Pearen in the flesh there, and bit her just out of interest, really.
"A bit of a mistaken identity situation. And then when the first bite obviously tasted good he went back for four more!"
