When is the Doctor Who Christmas special Revolution Of The Daleks on?
The Beeb has confirmed that the much-anticipated Doctor Who special will air on New Year's Day, 2021.
The episode will air at 6:45pm on BBC One.
It will run for an hour and 15 minutes.
Filming for series 13 is underway but it will only feature eight episodes in total, rather than the usual 11 due to coronavirus affecting filming.
Who's in the cast?
The Christmas special cast is an exciting mix of familiar favourites, returning faces and some brand-new characters.
As expected, Jodie Whittaker will reprise her role as the Doctor alongside Mandip Gill as Yaz, Tosin Cole as Ryan and Bradley Walsh as Graham.
The trailer revealed that Revolution Of The Daleks will feature the return of John Barrowman in his role of Captain Jack Harkness of Doctor Who series one and Torchwood.
Captain Jack Harkness is set to help out the Doctor and her companions in their battle to save the world from Dalek invasion.
Another returning face is Chris Noth - known to most as Mr Big from Sex And The City.
He featured in series 11 as luxury hotel owner Jack Robertson in the episode Arachnids in the UK.
She said: “It was absolutely pure luck we happened to have filmed it. I guess it’s the way it always films – they filmed the special at the same time as series 12.”
The trailer hints that lots of the action will take place in London - as we see Daleks advance on Downing Street.
The show's executive producer Chris Chibnall has said: "We've crammed this year's Doctor Who Festive Special with an explosion of extraordinary acting talent.
"Where else would you get British acting royalty, a globally renowned US screen star, an (inter)national treasure of stage and screen and one of Britain's hottest young actors – just in the guest cast!
"Put those together with Jodie Whittaker, Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole (and Daleks! Did I mention Daleks!) – and you get a cast to be exterminated for. And things will explode. Promise."
Is there a trailer?
