I’m A Celebrity star Ruthie Henshall’s ex-husband hits out at show after blunder claiming they’re still married

RUTHIE Henshall’s ex-husband has slammed I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! for claiming he is still married to the star.

West End leading lady Ruthie, 53, entered the castle on Wednesday night but actor Tim Hower has urged bosses to “recheck their facts”.

He shared a shot of the official app, which stated he is still Ruthie’s husband

Taking to Twitter, Tim shared a screen shot of an I’m A Celebrity quiz he had tried out on the show’s app.

Fans were asked: “What is Ruthie’s husband called?” Possible answers were Freddie, Tarek, Tim and Alan.

Tim’s grab of the blooper showed a green tick next to his name.

The fellow stage star and Ruthie divorced in 2010 following a six-year marriage. He is now happily married to musical director Jodie Oliver.

Tweeting the show directly, Tim moaned: “Hey @imacelebrity I think you might want to recheck your facts here #ruthiehenshall #imacelebrity #ImACeleb.”

Fans have been quick to react to the faux pas, with one replying: “What’s 10 years between Ex’s?!”

Another added: “Oh dear. How awkward is this?”

A third even wrote: “Oh bloody hell!!!! How awkward! Hope Jodie is ok….”

Ruthie met Tim while starring in the West End production of Peggy Sue Got Married. The couple tied the knot in 2004 and have two daughters together.

She had previously dated Prince Edward.

On Wednesday night, Ruthie entered the new series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, which is this year being filmed in Wales.

The singer and actress arrived at the castle alongside fellow newbie, English tenor Russell Watson.

Throwing them in at the deep end, show bosses made them both take part in a Bushtucker Trial as their fellow camp mates looked on.

During the trial, Ruthie was blasted with rotten tomatoes and Russell chipped a tooth while dunking his head in barrels of slime.
