I'M A Celebrity fans have rushed to defend Giovanna Fletcher after trolls asked why she was famous.
Giovanna, wife of McFly star Tom Fletcher, is an author, host of The Baby Club on CBeebies and the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast which discusses parenting.
But some Twitter users told how they don't understand why the mum-of-three, 35, deserved a place on the latest series of the show, which kicked off in Wales yesterday.
And some trolls claimed she's only well known because she is 'the wife of Tom' and for "being a mum".
But other viewers were quick to defend Giovanna, whose brother is Towie star Mario Falcone, 32, and say she deserves to be in the public eye.
One wrote: "Everyone saying they don't know who the cast of i'm a celeb are this year has clearly never watched the baby club on cbeebies for hours on end trying to entertain a one year old whilst you go insane to giovanna singing the hello song."
Another person said: "I don't even watch I'm a Celeb but I'm in the 'defend Giovanna Fletcher' camp right now.
"She's achieved lots. So she has a family husband and brother, so you don't know who she is, so what?! She earned her spot."
A third added: "So Giovanna Fletcher is going on I’m a celeb and people are saying she’s not a real celebrity?! You ok?!
"She’s a best selling author with her own popular podcast. Out of the entire line up she’s by far the best there."
After the show aired last night, some Twitter users rushed to the platform to question Giovanna's celebrity credentials.
Onefan wrote: "Giovanna Fletcher... famous for... being a... mum?", alongside a gif of pop singer Britney Spears pulling a confused expression.
Another wrote: "Think she’s considered a celeb due to links to other famous people - husband is tom from the band mcfly and her brother is off towie so idk i think it’d make more sense for them to be on it personally. she’s also an author although has a niche audience clearly."
Tom, 35, revealed today that Giovanna has been using secret hand signals on the show to reassure their kids Max, two, Buzz, six and Buddy, four.
