The Walking Dead reveals fate of Eugene’s group after Commonwealth ambush with new preview clip
THE Walking Dead has revealed the fate of Eugene's group after the Commonwealth ambush with a new preview clip.
Six new season 10 episodes of the hit AMC zombie drama will air in early 2021, but fans have been given a sneak preview of what to expect thanks to a virtual cast table read of the episode titled 'Splinter'.
Eugene (Josh McDermitt), King Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) and Princess (Paola Lazaro) found themselves surrounded by Commonwealth soldiers when they reached a rail yard in Charleston.
Eugene was hoping to meet unseen radio contact Stephanie (Margot Bingham) but instead, he and his friends found themselves imprisoned in train cars by the soldiers.
At one point, Eugene tells Princess: "My people back home need help. We’re in the middle of a fierce battle.
"Even if it’s come to a conclusion by now, the need for significant aid is inevitable. To be blunter, all my kinfolk are counting on me to be a cross between Santa Claus and a guardian angel, if you will."
Speaking about Eugene's correspondence with the mysterious Stephanie, actor Josh previously told TV Insider: "I think there’s going to be some major consequences just in talking on the radio with this person."
"He's making some decisions that could severely alter everyone's way of life, and I don't know that that's solely his decision to make.
"There could be some life and death consequences based on those decisions he's making."
AMC revealed that the beloved show would end with a supersized 24-episode series to be aired over the span of the next two years - with 12 in 2021, and the rest in 2022.
