Holby City star reveals grieving Sacha will fall ‘down spiral of hell’ after troubled new romance with Jodie
HOLBY City star Sian Reese-Williams has told how Sacha is set for a mighty fall following his new romance with Jodie.
Former Emmerdale star Sian's character will rock grieving Jodie's boat and watch it come crashing down in the BBC soap.
"She is a really interesting character in that from where Sacha is in terms of him pushing people away.
"She desperately craves love and it doesn't really bother her whether it's real and whether it's genuinely reciprocated, but she's genuinely trying to find it all of the time."
Sian continued: "Jodie is desperately trying to show love and get love from absolutely the wrong person but Sacha has allowed that to happen for obvious reasons – he's grieving and you do crazy things when you're grieving.
"Jodie knows that he's grieving and yet she still pursues this relationship with him.
"Her almost puppy dog likeness exacerbates the situation in a lot of ways because there's something quite childlike about her in that she hasn't fully developed what it's like to be in a real adult relationship, because she's never had it.
"I think it's just two people who are at completely different ends of the spectrum weirdly finding each other and getting things from each other too.
"Somebody with a more stable view of the world would probably be like, 'actually I'm going to leave you to it and maybe call me in a year's time'.
"But that's not what she wants. She's just looking for kindness and Sacha shows that when he takes her in and then she falls in love immediately."
fans watched Essie receive the devastating news in April that her cancer has returned - just as Sacha planned to propose after getting her back.
Cast and crew had to stop filming when lockdown struck earlier in the year but the series will return to BBC One on Tuesday 10th November at 20:15 with a special Covid-19 episode.
Staying true to life, viewers will watch as Holby City continues to be deep into the pandemic world with the staff at Holby General working hard to manage the mass of new patients.
