NETFLIX’S You season 2 left fans hanging on the edge of their seat when Love revealed she was both pregnant AND a killer.

Penn Badgley plays main character Joe Goldberg

The much-loved series stars Penn Badgley as Joe Goldberg, a stalker-turned-killer who murdered his girlfriend in season one before making some twisted decisions in season two after taking on a new identity and moving to LA.

Season two, which was released in December 2019, ended with his girlfriend Love Quinn revealing that she’s not only is she carrying his baby, but she is also a murderer.

Since then, there has been plenty of time to think up scenarios of what you think is going to happen next when it returns to our screens next year.

So here’s a lowdown on what we think could be in store for the upcoming series…

Could it be possible that Love turns her back on Joe?

Joe dies

Love is a crazy young woman who will do anything she wants and doesn’t think about the consequences… and once she finds out about Joe’s mystery woman (which could be his mum Sandy), there is a slight possibility that all hell will break loose.

Do you think that Love is capable of killing the father of her unborn child?

Netflix
Pregnant Love could also die in the third series

Love dies

It is possible that Joe could turn on Love.

Despite her carrying his unborn child, he could justify his actions by saying that she’s not fit to be a mother because of what she’s done in the past that he’s not very impressed by, despite doing it himself.

Although he could also do it so that he’s not bringing a baby up in the world whilst stalking and killing people.

The pair will clearly put up a fight if they do come into a situation where one tries to kill the other… but could they both die in the process?

Love could easily be pretending to be pregnant to spite Joe

Love isn’t even pregnant

Considering the aspiring chef has it in her to kill three people – her au pair, Delilah, and Joe’s ex Candace – it seems more than likely that she could pretend that she’s carrying a baby.

Many believe that she said she was pregnant with Joe’s child to make sure that he wouldn’t kill her.

Netflix
Could the third season focus on Love, instead of Joe?

Joe isn’t the protagonist anymore

Now that the scary truth has come out about Love, it could be possible that the third season focuses on her and in hand unravels more about her past and how she sees the world.

It would certainly spice things up a bit after the first two seasons have followed Joe’s point of view, as well as his thoughts and feelings through the narration.

Joe became very fond of Paco in season 1

The return of Paco

In season one Joe became very close to a young boy in his block of flats called Paco, who struggled living at him with his abusive step-dad.

Joe completely resonated with the youngster after season two explored the abuse that he suffered with from his own dad when he was younger.

The young boy tried to kill his mum’s boyfriend Ron, but Joe stopped him and did it himself instead to protect both Paco and his mum Claudia.

Paco went on to help him hide evidence and also knew about his dungeon in the book shop, so essentially the little boy knows too much.

Joe also now lives in California – where both Paco and his mum moved too.

Joe’s mum makes an appearance

The absence of Joe’s mum Sandy has definitely moulded him into who he is today and it is crucial for her to make an appearance at one point.

And many fans think that the woman Joe has had his eyes on in season 2 is actually is his beloved mum.
