Peaky Blinders fans predict Freddie Thorne will make epic return from beyond the grave to save Tommy in series 6
PEAKY Blinders' hotly-anticipated sixth season may be a long way off, but fans already have plenty of ideas about what will unfold.
The acclaimed BBC drama, like most TV, has faced heavy production delays amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

With fans desperate for more episodes, it's no surprise they've been taking to Reddit to map out what they will happen when Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) and co return.
The latest involves the potential return of devout communist Freddie Thorne (Iddo Goldberg).
The father of Ada's (Sophie Rundle) baby was a major player in season 1, marrring her against the Shelbys' wishes before being "killed" off screen.
We never saw a body though and Ada subsequently moved to London to start afresh as her family began to expand their business into the capital.
Taking to Reddit, fans predicted that Freddie would make a comeback against the odds in the fallout from Tommy's botched assasination attempt on British Fascist Oswald Mosley (Sam Claflin).
User imbored102 kicked off the discussion, writing: “Started rewatching Peaky Blinders for the sixth time and started wondering, is Freddie Thorne really dead?
“Freddie Thorne tells Ada, ‘One day, me and Tommy will be on the same side again,’" they recounted.
“I feel like Freddie Thorne had a big role to play as a Communist Leader [and] the more I watch the more I realise that Thomas Shelby's purpose is to create change politically."

The eagle-eyed fan even went on to suggest that Tommy could have played a role in covering up Freddie's survival with a fake funeral.
“The whole show is about him climbing the steps and now we see that he's very high," they went on.
“Before Polly resigns she tells him that he will have a stage and speak to millions of people.”
“Could we see him and Freddie reunite and fight for the same cause?” they pondered.
“I can't recall them showing his death but just a funeral, which could have been easily faked for him to escape or something."
They continued: “I feel like Tommy has lost too many loyal allies and Freddie would be the perfect person to help Tommy in his new journey.
“I would love to see Freddie return as I thought he had a lot more potential and is very loyal.
“We have seen fake deaths such as Alfie's and Arthur's so could they do it again?”

One thing's for certain - Tommy will need all the loyal allies he can get as he takes on Mosley once again.
Theories around season 6 have come in thick and fast in recent weeks.
Fans previously convinced themselves Johnny was the one to betray Tommy Shelby – and he’ll be murdered in the upcoming episodes.
The comments come after Mosley actor Claflin warned that Tommy Shelby would be "out of his league" in a "very, very juicy" season 6.
