Viewers know that Whitney was arrested for her stalker Leo King's murder earlier this year in the BBC One soap after she accidentally killed him in self-defence.
Whitney was then released from prison on bail, with her lawyer Gray vowing to build her a defence.
Next week’s episodes of EastEnders will see Gray encourage Whitney to tell the truth in her final statements as she stands trial.
But later, Gray struggles to keep his guilt under control and is so distracted her forgets to pick the kids up from school.
Reaching boiling point, he lashes out at Linda, who's babysitting the children.
Later at court, Whitney’s barrister fails to turn up, meaning Gray - who turns up just in time - is the only person who can step up for the final statements.
