The lawyer is battling a guilty conscience after murdering his wife Chantelle as his harrowing abuse came to an explosive climax.

Viewers watched in horror as Gray murdered Chantelle when she eventually tried to leave him, pushing her onto an upturned knife in the dishwasher before slowly watching her bleed to death.
Next week’s episodes of EastEnders will see Gray encourage Whitney - who is standing trial over the death of Leo King who she killed in self-defence earlier this year - to tell the truth in her final statements.
Later, Gray struggles to keep his guilt under control and is so distracted he forgets to pick the kids up from school.
Growing concerned about Gray, babysitter Linda takes the kids to the park to give him some time to rest.
When she returns to the house, Linda decides to help Gray out by doing some cleaning.
But when Gray realises she’s cleaned Chantelle’s mug, he reaches boiling point and lashes out at Linda.
At court, Whitney’s barrister has come down with food poisoning, meaning Gray is the only person who can step up for the final statements.
Gray shows up at court just in time.
