AUDREY Roberts returns to celebrate her 80th birthday party next week in Coronation Street. 

The head of the Platt family - who is played by Sue Nicholls in the ITV soap - has had over 40 decades on the cobbles.

Next week’s episodes of Coronation Street will see the Platts prepare for Audrey’s belated birthday party. 

Meanwhile, Maria plans to buy the barbers from Audrey, but is shocked to discover she has a huge credit card bill. 

Later, Ray overhears Gary’s money troubled and offers to buy the factory from him.

But Gary tells him it’s not for sale.

Later, David is distracted from Audrey’s birthday celebrations when Gary surveys David’s sinkhole and offers to put him in touch with a specialist company. 

When David tells him that Ray has offered to buy the house, Gary - who has just discovered that Kevin was forced to sell the furniture shop premises to Ray - is immediately suspicious.

Later in the week, Maria encourages Gary to sell the factory so she’ll have the money to buy the barbers.
