Emmerdale’s Max Parker hints Luke Posner’s dark side could destroy relationship with Victoria Sugden
EMMERDALE star Max Parker has hinted Luke Posner's dark side could emerge and wreck his romance with Victoria Sugden.
The actor - who has played Luke in the ITV soap for a year - admitted that his character could be seen as too good to be true and that he could be hiding a dark side.
Viewers know Luke is the brother of Victoria's rapist Lee, but after Lee's murder and Victoria getting therapy the pair decided to make a go of their romance earlier this week.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Max teased: "I think Luke is genuinely one of the good guys, but everyone has their triggers and who knows what’s around the corner."
He added: "It's never plain sailing with Victoria and Luke, but I’m enjoying our little double act at the minute so we will have to wait and see."
In last night's episode of the soap the couple exchanged I Love Yous in a sweet scene.
The chef - who is played by actress Isabel Hodgins in the ITV soap - has been away burying her grandmother Annie Sugden.
And last night she returned with a bang - and told Luke how she really felt about him.
“I should’ve called you something first but no I just steamed in and snogged your face off,” she said.
“It was the funeral. I was standing there staring at my gran’s coffin and I could just hear her voice in my head telling me to stop faffing about and get on with it.
“She would have told you how she felt straight away.
“When we got together, we were great but it was just too soon and I wasn’t ready.
“But I’m ready now and I still really like you - like loads. So can we just forget about everything, but maybe not forget but put it in the past and start again please?”
After a brief deliberation, Luke said he liked her too and wanted to give things another go.
But Victoria had another bomb to drop - she’s in love.
She said: “When I was at the funeral I just wanted you to be there holding my hand.
“I’ve made my mind up, I’m never going to not say what I’m thinking when I think it so please don’t freak out.
“I don’t just like you, it’s love. I love you Luke.”
