THE Riviera season three trailer has teased a deadly stand-off with guns, brawls and street chases in new episodes dropping next month.
The Sky Atlantic drama stars Julia Stiles as Georgina, who swaps her surname from Clios to Ryland as she teams up with newcomer Gabriel Hirsch (Rupert Graves).
While the pair live it up on luxury yachts and properties, the trailer reveals there will also be plenty of drama, including a fist fight by a canal.
The trailer also shows an on-foot chase and even more concerning, guns being pointed at heads, begging the question of whether the lead characters will make it to the end of the season alive.
Indeed, Georgina wants to watch her back, as the Mayor of Buenos Aires tells her: “I run this city, it will be a dangerous mistake for you to stay in Buenos Aires."
Further danger is added with the trailer's final words: "You must be so tired of running.”
Season three is set a year after the end of season two, with Sky revealing Georgina's “loyalty, courage and resilience [is] tested to the extreme."
Julia said of the new season: "The expansion of this season, in terms of the gorgeous new countries we visit, as well as our new cast members, means the web is even more tangled for Georgina.
"I am thrilled to navigate this gilded conspiracy through her eyes and with Rupert Graves by her side.”
Meanwhile Cameron Roach, Sky’s Director of Drama & Sky Studios said: “Riviera has really captured the imagination of our subscribers and we’re thrilled to be returning to the audacious and unpredictable world occupied by Julia Stiles as Georgina, alongside her new co-star Rupert Graves.
