How are Gogglebox’s Sophie and Pete related to Paul Chuckle?

How are Gogglebox's Sophie and Pete related to Paul Chuckle?

Paul Chuckle revealed to his  followers that he is related to the Gogglebox pair.

The Chucklevision star, 72, was responding to speculation that he was related to Sophie and Pete.

When a fan asked him directly, he responded: 'Most certainly are ... proud to be Great Uncle Paul,' alongside a heart emoji. 

That also makes Sophie and Pete the niece and nephew the late Barry Chuckle.

When Paul's older sibling and Chucklevision co-star Barry died in 2018, Sophie posted a tribute to him.

She wrote on Twitter: 'You filled millions of childhoods with laughter and entertainment including mine and Peters. 

'You will be sadly missed by many. Rest in peace uncle Barry. Lots of love from me, to you.'

Who are Gogglebox's Sophie and Pete?

Pete, 25, and Sophie, 23, hail from Blackpool where they film their slots on Gogglebox.

They actually have two other siblings named Harry and Lucy.

The pair still work regular day jobs despite the start of their TV gig in 2018, with Sophie working as a shop window dresser.

While Pete has a job in the insurance industry.

As part of the Googlebox cast, the siblings have to commit to 12 hours of filming each week split across two six-hour shifts.

When is Gogglebox on TV?

Gogglebox is on TONIGHT (September 18) at 9pm on Channel 4, straight after Lodgers for Codgers.

Tonight's episode is the second show of the new series.
