In last night's instalment of the ITV soap, Tim Metcalfe finally discovered that there was truth in what Sally, Alya and Yasmeen had been claiming about evil Geoff.

After seeing footage of his dad belittling Yasmeen, the taxi driver could finally see his father as he truly was and ultimately disowned him.

Tim then went off to find his mum Elaine after Geoff ran her out of town and left his dad to stew on his own.

However, Alya delivered a devastating blow when she admitted that because Sally acquired the footage illegally, they might not be able to use it in court.

Geoff was terrified when Tim handed him over to the police - but he's out already

With Elaine missing, Alya hatched a plan to take down Geoff and put him behind bars and get her grandmother home.

Alya explained she would need Imran (Charlie de Melo) to call Elaine as a witness.

Knowing how difficult it is to find Elaine, Alya said if she doesn’t turn up for the trial, the police will be then forced to investigate and take their claims seriously.

An investigation into Elaine’s disappearance would no doubt set Geoff off, but will it work?

Coronation Street continues Monday September 14 at 7:30pm & 8:30pm on ITV.
