The Walking Dead’s Carol and Daryl stars lift lid on new spin-off series set to launch after AMC drama ends
TWO of The Walking Dead's most beloved characters will front a spin-off series in the wake of the main series' cancellation.
Earlier this week AMC revealed that the popular show would end with a supersized 24-episode series to be aired over the span of the next two years - with 12 in 2021, and the rest in 2022.

Fortunately the broadcaster also confirmed that the saga will continue in the form of two new shows, one of which will focus on the characters Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride), both long-serving characters beloved by fans.
Now Reedus and McBride have spoken out about the new adventure and given fans a sense of what they can expect.
“I feel incredibly honored to be a part of The Walking Dead - this show changed my life and career and everyone involved has truly been a family for me over the last decade," Reedus said.
"I’m thankful for AMC’s love and support and know there’s so much more story to tell and so much more to bring the best fans in the world. Daryl’s relationship with Carol has always been my favorite relationship on the show (sorry Rick)," he continued.

"I love the way these characters interact and relate to each other on so many levels and can’t wait to see where their ride goes from here.”
The sentiment was echoed by McBride, who opened up about the characters' special bond.
“Of course, I’ve always enjoyed working so closely with Norman throughout these many seasons," she added.
"In playing Carol, and as a viewer of the show, I’ve also long been intrigued with Daryl and Carol, and by what so early on between them, even then, felt somehow bound," she went on.
