Hollyoaks fans overjoyed as the soap returns with Lisa Loveday’s explosive exit
HOLLYOAKS fans were overjoyed the soap returned tonight with a double bill of flashback episodes.
The Channel 4 soap has been off air since July after shutting down production during the pandemic.
However it returned tonight with two new episodes showing flashbacks to Mitchell and Scott's wedding with police interviewing some of the guests after one of the guests disappeared.
It will all lead to Lisa Loveday's explosive exit this week.
The shop assistant - who is played by actress Rachel Adedeji in the Channel 4 soap since 2016 - will be seen for the final time this week after a dramatic clash with secret lover Felix Westwood.
He had failed to end their relationship or tell Martine the truth about ending things - and the wedding was centre stage for the drama.
But tonight's episode's flashbacks made it obvious that Toby was intent on ruining the day with potential disastrous consequences.
Even his sister Celeste tried to stop him from carrying out his revenge plan - however it all backfired.
Fans were simply overjoyed the soap was back with new episodes.
One wrote: "Hollyoaks is back & already so good."
