EastEnders’ Jessie Wallace makes return to Albert Square seven months after suspension as she poses outside the pub
EASTENDERS legend Jessie Wallace made her return to Albert Square - seven months after being suspended.
The 48-year-old posed outside the pub for new pictures ahead of her appearance on spin-off show Secrets From The Square.
The series has replaced regular episodes of the BBC soaps, featuring cast members talking about their time on the soap and their previous storylines.
It was confirmed last week Jessie will make her comeback in an explosive final episode to look back on her time as feisty Kat Slater on September 3.
Jessie was suspended from EastEnders after allegedly boozing on set in January.
She was written out of upcoming plots before lockdown halted filming.
Bosses held a crisis meeting and decided she would be axed from the show for two months to “sort herself out”.
Her suspension came weeks after The Sun exclusively revealed Jessie had split with greengrocer boyfriend Paul Keepin after two years.
But in these most recent pictures, Jessie is seen laughing on set as she's interviewed alongside her co-star Lacey Turner by Stacey Dooley.
Jessie has been one of the biggest stars in soapland for years, joining the drama for her first stint as Alfie Moon's girlfriend between 2000 and 2005.
But her party lifestyle has landed her in trouble. In the mid-2000s she was exposed for using the drug ketamine.
She was suspended from the show for bad behaviour and threatened with the axe.
The mum of one was also convicted of drink-driving in 2003 and attended counselling sessions.

Jessie reprised the role of Kat - without Alfie this time - once more in 2018.
The same year she was sent home from the British Soap Awards by bosses amid claims she turned up to the event drunk.
The actress originally trained as a make-up artist and worked as a barmaid before becoming an actress.
