THIS Morning's Eva Speakman broke down in tears after curing a cancer patient of a crippling needle phobia that could have cost her her life.
The psychotherapist was overwhelmed with emotion after hearing how Sally-Ann Smart was bravely getting treatment for ovarian cancer after battling her biggest fear.
Before getting help from The Speakmans, Sally-Ann said she'd "rather die" than go to hospital and be close to needles after being diagnosed in June 2019.
Revealing she was now cured of trypanophobia and was getting injections to help her white blood cells to combat the disease, Sally-Ann moved Eva to tears.
Eva said: "I'm so incredibly proud of her, because I've got to say Sally, you were hard work.
"There was this big barrier up. When we turned up I think Sally saw us as a bit of a threat because she thought 'these guys are going to bring needles'.
"Honestly, you are just incredible. You are probably one of the most brave people I've ever met in my life and I think you are very inspirational.
"Thank you for listening to us and thank you working with us."
Eva is one half of This Morning's therapist duos The Speakmans.
Alongside her husband Nick, Eva helps change the lives of those suffering from phobias.
Sally-Ann told This Morning: "My sister rang This Morning to see Nick and Eva could help. It was a last resort.
"The family didn't know what else to do because I wouldn't go into hospital and I wouldn't have any treatment.
"The whole family were at their wits' end."
After Eva and Nick went to meet with Sally-Ann and help her work through her fear, which started after an appointment at the dentist as a child.
"I can't believe I've actually done it," said Sally-Ann.
