Creator Ricky is currently working on the scripts and Diane has been left impressed by the sneak peek she has been given.
Appearing on today's Lorraine, she said: "I've seen bits of the script. He's very generous.
"He sometimes sends early drafts, it's amazing I don't know how he does it. One minute you're crying the next you're laughing your head off."
Ricky, 59 told : "I've already made my mind up there won't be a (series) four.
"And you do put those things out there to make you remember as it's tempting but... there's an old saying that 'to lead the orchestra, you've got to turn your back on the audience'.
"That's true. The audience think they want another one, but they're not sure. So you've got to be careful."
Ricky, who also plays lead character Tony, proved he has dived into writing series three when he shared a photo of himself holding the first draft of the script.

And when an eager fan asked: "Is that the whole 3rd series complete or just the 1st episode?"
The star replied: "Just ep 1. The rest are getting there though."
While Ricky has not given fans any insight into what could happen in the third series, he has confirmed he will never kill off main character Tony's beloved pet dog.
He insisted: "The dog does not die. Never."
