What is Ratched about?

Ratched is the origin story of Nurse Ratched, the sadistic nurse from the 1962 classic novel One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey.

The nurse joins the psychiatric hospital in 1947.

The official Netflix synopsis reads: "The wheels are always turning and as she begins to infiltrate the mental health care system and those within it, Mildred's stylish exterior belies a growing darkness that has long been smouldering within, revealing that true monsters are made, not born."

Briones, a Filipino-American actor, is best known for his work in musical theatre.

He has previously worked with Paulson in American Horror Story: Apocalypse.

Finn Wittrock as Edmund Tolleson

Finn Wittrock has also worked with Paulson before, when he guest-starred as Jether Polk in American Horror Story: Roanoke.

Wittrock first became a household name with his regular appearance on soap opera All My Children.
