EastEnders Ian Beale’s lies about Dennis’ death will be exposed after spending months in lockdown in the Vic with Sharon
EASTENDERS' Ian Beale is going to be exposed as Dennis Mitchell's killer - after spending months in lockdown with Sharon Watts in the Queen Vic.
Actor Adam Woodyatt has revealed Ian's lies about what happened on the night of Dennis' death will soon be exposed.
Speaking on Secrets from the Square, he said: "He's been locked in The Vic with Sharon and the baby.
"Ian's still got the guilt of what happened to Dennis. Lies will eventually... they've got to come back and bite him."
Viewers know Ian locked Dennis in a cabin before the boat began sinking.
He then left it too late to rescue him and they were both swept out into the Thames with only Ian surviving.
Ian then took credit for trying to save Dennis' life - letting Phil Mitchell take more of the blame for causing the crash initially.
Before the soap took a break, Ian bought the Queen Vic for Sharon to stop her ex Phil getting his hands on it.
The secret has been hanging over them all through lockdown and is set to explode when the soap returns in September.
Meanwhile there's happier news for Ian's mum Kathy who will be finding love when the soap returns.
The cafe owner - who is played by actress Gillian Taylforth in the BBC soap - hasn't had a love interest since a brief dalliance with Masood Ahmed two years ago.
But now soap bosses have finally decided to give the Albert Square favourite a new boy toy.
Speaking on EastEnders: Secrets from the Sqaure, Gillian revealed: "I think it's about time.
"She's older now and she's been looking after everyone else. It's about time that she was looked after and she had a bit of love in her life."
