Chirpy Andi told the presenters before his fall: "Ranvir and Adil, this is the kind of morning you would want. Cruising on the Thames! Let's go Jonathan!"

But he soon lost his sea legs, tripping over backwards before spinning around and landing not-so-gracefully on the flashy boat's leather seats.

He left Adil Ray and Ranvir Singh in stitches as he scrambled around on deck.

After getting his body under control, Ranvir said: "You haven't quite found your sea legs there Andi!

"Can I just say what an honour it is to be on the same show as a professional."

Later, the cheeky host was chatting to Adil and Ranvir again when they noticed he was being eyed up by the police.

He paused his conversation, turned around, and shouted at the pair of coppers "Do you want an autograph?" as they watched him filming from the road.

However the cops returned to their business and he laughed off the awkward encounter.
