Casualty spoilers: Lev confronts traumatic past in Russia after brutal stabbing
CASUALTY fans are in for a heavy set of episodes coming up as Lev's backstory is explored.
Divert your eyes now if you want it to be a surprise...
What will happen to Lev?
Paramedic Lev Malinovsky hasn't yet had all of his backstory explained in Casualty, but now viewers will get to know the truth.
Lev is called to help a patient called Evgeny, who like Lev is Russian.
Together they bond over their shared heritage, but it makes Lev reflect on his childhood.
Lev shares memories with the patient, but is clearly traumatised by some of the things that arise in the conversation.
Once Lev protected a friend from bullies, but then inadvertently made himself the target.
Lev's past in Russia is troubled and more will be revealed about why this is in the coming episodes.
Loretta Preece, a boss behind the show, has previously said to watch as Lev's story line unfolds as it will be one of the biggest this year.
What else will happen?
In other news for the series, Ffion will make her debut, played by Stirling Gallacher who you might recognise from Coronation Street.
Ffion is married to Jan and is a police officer.
Fenisha attempts to build a relationship with Ffion, who in turn is interested to meet the woman she often hears Jan complain about.
Meanwhile, Jan's loyalties to work above all else are revealed as she forgets to buy Ffion a present for their anniversary and only books a table for their date at the last minute.
Ffion is sad to learn the truth, but is even more hurt when Jan doesn't make the date.
Despite being forgiving, Ffion asks Jan to be upfront about her priorities.
And the drama doesn't end there as Charlie tells Jacob he is stepping down from being a clinical nurse.
