ADRENALINE seekers looking for a challenge should head to Austria on their next holiday.
Area 47 is an adventure park for adults featuring a giant slide, a diving area with a huge air cushion as well as a beach bar and is less than two hours from the UK.
The 95,000 square metre park has more than 35 different activities on offer.
There are three main areas - the Wake Area, the Water Area and the Outdoor Area.
In the Water Area, you can slide down the 17m (55ft) water ramp with speeds up to 50kmph (30mph).
Riders have a choice of going down the slide on their own or using a Hydro-speed bobsled.
You can also jump onto a huge air cushion for the sport of 'blobbing' which catapults you into the air before making a splash in the lake.
Also included in the Water Area are five normal water slides for adults.
Wake-boarders can head to the 20,000 square metre Wake Area with both beginners and professionals able to try the water sport for themselves.
Other activities at Area 47 include caving, canyoning, zip lining, high ropes courses, mountain biking and rafting in the Outdoor Area.
The park is also home to a 27m (88ft) climbing wall with views of the mountains - the highest climbing tower in the Austria.
Guests can relax at the beach bar in the day with cocktails and snacks on the menu, along with the Wake Cafe and the River Haus Bar & Grill restaurant.
The nightlife is just as exciting, with the restaurant transforming into a club with DJs and dancers in the evenings - and women get a free welcome drink on Fridays and Saturdays.
Families heading to the park can take children under 13, although explain there is little for younger kids to do at the park.
You can stay overnight in the park with a choice of double or triples log cabin rooms, or even wooden tepees.
Guests who stay in on-site accommodation get free entry to the Water Area.
Adults prices for the Water Area start from €25 (£22) while the Wake Area prices start from €22 (£20) per person for one hour excluding equipment rental.
Accommodation starts from €41.70 (£38) for tepees and €51.70 (£48) for a double room.
