Are you brave enough to try a 6-storey water slide shaped like a Venus flytrap?
A SIX-storey water slide featuring a 'Venus flytrap vortex' is set to open next year.
Aptly named the Venus Vortex, the ride is set to open at Lake Compounce in Connecticut.
The overlooks the lake, measuring around 60ft (18m) in height.
Riders whizz down a combination of open and closed flume down an almost vertical drop.
The three-person raft then hurtles into the open vortex and swings across the Venus flytrap mouth, perilously close to the lake.
The ride then narrows to a single track for passengers to disembark.
A water coaster which launches passengers across a dual track is to open next year in the US, called the Cheetah Chase.
A similar concept of a roller coaster and water ride hybrid was also announced as a concept which could change the way water slides are designed.
The design features a trolley propulsion system which fires rafts at speed across the track.
