The couple, , were travelling to Jinan, Shandong in China.

A video captured the woman putting her feet on the tray table before using nail clipper to trim her toe nails.

Some of the nails fell on the floor as well as into the cup on the table.

The footage, posted to social media website Weibo, saw the woman grooming while the man had his bare feet on the partition in front of them.

A second video caught them sleeping with both of their bare feet on the wall.

A witness told video website Pear that the couple were being "really loud" despite the carriage being quiet, which annoyed other passengers.

They also explained that other passengers tried to get them to remove their feet but they refused to do so.

It isn't the first time an incident like this has happened.

Last year, a plane passenger refused to take her bare feet off the tray table despite complaints from other travellers.

Etiquette in the UK dictates train passengers should not put their feet on the seats.

One commuter was slammed earlier this week after putting his feet on a busy train seat, as well as taking up space with his bike and gear.
