GOING on a solo holiday can still be expensive - but there are lots of affordable options out there.

Q: “Hello. I’ve been holidaying solo for 16 years and have still yet to find a good website for reasonable holidays for singles like me.

"Cruises are the worst, it’s my 65 birthday this year in November and I’m wanting a cruise next year, have you any advice you could give me?”
A: Solo sailors have long been penalised by the cruise industry for travelling alone but many companies are now appealing to the single traveller market.

The Sun previously revealed how the number of Brits going on holiday alone as trebled in just seven years.
