Rooms offer a view overlooking Leicester Square, where movie premieres happen each week.

If you are lucky, you could spot a Hollywood star from your window.

If not, you will find the faces of cinema icons framed on your bedroom wall.

Either way, the excellent service makes you feel like they have rolled out the red carpet just for you.

ROOMS ANY GOOD?

No complaints. There are 86 rooms to choose from, including the Executive Queen and Executive suites for special occasions.

Comfort is crucial after a day roaming the capital's streets (or working out at the local Gym Box, to which guests receive complimentary access).

The king-size bed is a welcome sight on return.

The coffee-table reads and city guides are nice touches.

EAT HERE OR GRAB A PIZZA?

Don't bother requesting room service.

The hotel is a five-minute walk from Soho, where some of the world's best restaurants are on your doorstep.

The Burger King across the road was tempting but we opted for the red curry at Rosa's Thai Cafe.

If you struggle to decide what you want, take a stroll around the corner to Chinatown.

You won't be short of delicious options.

WHAT'S THE DAMAGE?

A standard double room starts at £158.
