The new Star Wars attraction will be making an appearance at both Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Florida in 2019.

Its main ride will be Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, where guests can battle with the First Order.

The teaser video revealed that the experience will be fully immersive with hyper-realistic graphics.

There's room for up to six people where each person can pretend to be a member of the crew.

There is also a second attraction - Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance - that will put guests in the middle of the action between the First Order and the Resistance.

The video also teased Rise of the Resistance, hinting that it will be an eight-seater ride where guests get to face Kylo Ren in battle.

Scott Trowbridge, creative executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, said in the video that guests are put "right behind the cockpit".

He added that it's an "intense, super fun experience on the fastest ship in the galaxy."

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is set to debut at Disneyland in California in the summer of next year and at Walt Disney World in Florida in autumn.

However, Carrie Beck, vice president at Lucasfilm Story Group, said that "this is only the beginning", suggesting more rides are already in the works.

She said that Galaxy’s Edge is "living, and breathing and evolving".

Earlier this month, Sun Online Travel revealed that fans may have to wait as long as six hours to get on the Millennium Falcon at Disneyland.

The estimate is based on analysis on daily crowd sizes and average wait times in theme parks.

For those keen to skip the queues, the attraction will be offering FastPass tickets.
