Cyprus is the cheapest holiday destination for Brits this January – and you’ll get a better deal than Tenerife or Lanzarote
IF you're thinking about your next holiday now that Christmas is over and done with, Cyprus is where you'll get the best deal.
In fact, a one-week holiday in Paphos this coming January could actually work out cheaper than Lanzarote or Tenerife.
Post Office Travel Money looked at some of the most popular destinations for Brits.
They found that for travelling in January, Paphos offered the cheapest breaks within Europe.
They factored in the cost of a package holiday, as well as the cost of evening meals plus wine, beers and coffees and found that a week-long break in the Cypriot resort costs just £382 per person.
It's even cheaper than Lanzarote and Tenerife, which cost £461.86 and £469.48 per person respectively.
When it comes to long haul flights, Orlando offered the cheapest holiday this winter, despite the weak pound.
For an average week-long holiday, Post Office Travel Money found that it could cost as little as £651.31 per person.
