What’s new at Alton Towers?

The Straffordshire theme park opened its much anticipated Wicker Man attraction earlier this year - the world’s first wooden rollercoaster that runs through fire.

And it’s the UK’s first new wooden roller coaster in 21 years, and the six-storey-high structure thrill riders with parts of the track appearing to be set on fire.

Wicker Man joins an amazing line-up of rollercoasters – Galactica, the universe’s first rollercoaster fully dedicated to virtual reality, the legendary Nemesis, and Oblivion’s iconic vertical drop ride.

There are also family friendly rides like CBeebies Land’s Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom Ride where little adventurers get to guide their own Vroomster vehicle round the world. And for a feel-good fix, sing along with Funella, Furgus and co at The Furchester Hotel Live Show.
