Disneyland is installing its own BREWERY – so now every parent will want to go

Disneyland in California is getting its own 7,300 square foot brewery by beer brand Ballas Point in late 2018

DISNEY is perfect for kids – but what about the long suffering parents who might not be such a fan of Mickey and friends?

Not all adults like a visit to the happiest place on earth - but the theme park has now come up with a plan to convert some of the most reluctant customers.

Disneyland in California is getting its own 7,300 square foot brewery, according to .

The brewery by beer brand Ballas Point will be coming in late 2018, plus a restaurant and a beer garden onsite.

As well as traditional Ballas Point craft beers, the brewery will also feature a range of limited edition ales exclusively for Disneyland - which will be invented onsite.

Marty Birkel, president of Ballas Point, said: “We couldn’t be more honoured to work with such an icon in our great state and become the first brewer at Downtown Disney."

He added: “We hope [California] locals and visitors alike will enjoy the wonderful atmosphere, seasonal cuisine, and good cheer (and beer) of our signature tap room experience that we plan to bring to Downtown Disney.”

It's a big change for the park, which was historically dry as Walt Disney was a fan of the teetotal lifestyle.

In fact, the Magic Kingdom only lifted its alcohol ban in 2016.

The Florida theme park has been busy making up for lost time though - last summer they introduced a wine slushie that was a huge hit with adult guests.

Amorette’s Patisserie - a French-themed patisserie in Disney Springs introduced the Strawberry Shiraz wine slushie last summer.

Made with wine and strawberries, the frozen drink is called the "Strawberry Shiraz wine slushie".

The patisserie is also selling a mango Muscat slushie, which consists of white wine, mango and ice, with both drinks priced at $8 (£5.63).

The genius of the wine slushie doesn't just lie in the taste, booze content and the refreshing ice though.

Its deceptive appearance means that a frazzled parent could reasonably expect to stroll through the park with a slush puppy in hand without raising any eyebrows.

Which possibly might not be the case if they decided to walk down Main Street with an actual glass of red wine.
