The posh casino planet – which appeared for the first time in this movie – is the Star Wars version of Monaco.

It was shot in the walled city of Dubrovnik, which was also used as the filming location for King’s Landing in Game Of Thrones.

King’s Landing, filmed on location in Dubrovnik’s beautiful Old Town, has been one of the most prominent locations in the fantasy drama since its first series.

Game Of Thrones' popularity reinforced Dubrovnik’s reputation as a top tourist destination.

The picturesque city on the Mediterranean coast is perfect for filming scenes by the sea.

Terracotta roofs of the houses are shown in the show as characters look over the city, while matriarch Olenna Tyrell’s secluded quarters were also right by the sea in Dubrovnik.

The Mineeta Tower - the highest point in the city - was also used as the walls of the House Of The Undying.

But Dubrovnik has only been used since season there - previously the historic city of Mdina in Malta stood in for King's Landing.

The city is rumoured to be one of the filming locations for the new James Bond film too.

The success of the new Star Wars film is bound to attract Dubrovnik even more attention – probably not the most welcome thought for many residents.
