FORGET Mickey and Mini – for one Disney fan there’s only one reason to visit Disneyland… the Radiator Springs Racers ride.
Jon Hale from California has now ridden the Cars-themed ride more than 10,000 times.
He first rode the attraction on June 10, 2012, which means that he has ridden it an average of 2,000 times a year.
Jon loved it so much on his first time that he rode it again seven times that day.
He went back a few hundred times and then by the 999th time, the cast members started to wait for him at the gate – even jumping in for the 1,000th ride.
The local ABC News came down for the 2,000th ride and after a while it just grew into a mission to hit the 10,000 mark.
He even set up a blog called jons1000racers so the general public could keep track of his efforts.
He even keeps track of which car he rides each time.
Speaking on his blog after completing his 10,000th ride, he said: “The support [of the cast members] kept me coming back for more rides.
“It was after the 5,000th ride that I knew I wanted to reach 10,000.
“It is a good round number."
He continued: “This year was the most crowded of all the years of racing - I went on 2,823 times in 2016 but only 1,610 times so far this year.”
He isn’t planning on stopping anytime soon either.
Jon added: “We will see what the rest of the year holds for me.
“I know I need to reach 10,101 on December 8 and continue on from there.”
