Universal Orlando is launching two new budget hotels ON LOCATION that cost less than £80 per night
Opening in 2019, the hotels have the perks of staying at a theme park hotel – without the huge prices
TAKING the kids on a theme park holiday to Florida is many things – but cheap it is not.
So the fact that Universal Studios is building two new budget resort hotels with rooms starting at $100 (£76) a night will be welcome news for families.
Opening in the summer of 2019, Universal Orlando Resort’s new hotels will allow guests to enjoy the perks of staying at a theme park hotel – without the huge price tag.
The hotels will feature a combined 2,800 guest rooms, including 1,450 two-bedroom suites designed to accommodate families of all sizes.
Both options will be mainly focused on value - with nightly rates starting below Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universal’s Aventura Hotel.
But guests also get the perks that make guests opt for a pricey resort hotel in the first place.
They get Early Park Admission to Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal’s Volcano Bay, as well as complimentary transportation across the destination and resort-wide charging privileges.
The 750-room and 2,050-room hotels will be located just minutes away from Universal Orlando’s three theme parks and Universal CityWalk’s dining and entertainment options – on the old Wet n' Wild water park site.
Guests will have access to a combined three pools, poolside bars and two food courts offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and nearby coffee bars.
The atmosphere at the two hotels will be laid-back according to the Universal Creative team.
They said: “These all-new options will be destinations unto themselves - guests will enjoy the sun, surf and sand with a laid-back coastal feel.
“Towering exterior murals with vibrant and natural colours will set a free-spirited and beachy tone, inviting guests to hang loose throughout their stay.”
While the hotels aren’t opening until 2019, they will be taking reservations from next year.
