Universal Studios has given fans a sneak peak of its new Fast and Furious ride – and fans will go weak at the knees
The new attraction, featuring some of the movie franchise's favourite characters, opens next spring. Guests will take part in a high-speed car chase and must rely on the Fast family to lead them to safety.
THE car park at Universal Studios in Florida is going to be looking pretty impressive soon.
The theme park has released details about its new Fast And Furious – Supercharged attraction and it’ll have boy racers going weak at the knees.
The ride, set to open in spring 2018 where guests can take part in a high-octane ride experience.
The ride will feature some of the movie franchise’s favourite characters, including Tej (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges) and Mia (Jordana Brewster), Dom (Vin Diesel), Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), Roman (Tyrese Gibson) and criminal mastermind Owen Shaw (Luke Evans).
There will also be 15 of the cars that have been used in the films, including Dom’s Dodge Charger and Letty’s Turbo Truck.
As visitors approach the attraction, they will see Dom’s Dodge Charger parked outside.
Inside, songs from the films’ soundtracks fill the rooms as scenes from the series play around them.
As they make their way through familiar places inspired by the films, like the Family Room – complete with photos of the Fast family – and Tej’s high-tech War Room, they will then be invited to attend a race after-party.
Tej arranges for a custom party bus to get guests there, but as they make their way to the party, Dom calls with an urgent message that Owen Shaw is headed their way.
A high-speed chase ensues, and they must rely on the Fast family to lead them to safety.
Vin Diesel, who has filmed scenes for the attraction, said: “Although we’ve been living with the characters for 15 years, it’s new territory to create something as immersive as this, that the fans of our franchise can actually live through and be a part of.”
