THE travelling life of a celebrity can sometimes be a demanding venture.
Flight after flight, a new city every week and of course, the demands of appearances, shows and whatever else it is celebrities do with their time.
All that travel can become overwhelming, and it is only a matter of time before it takes its toll.
We often hear of the odd celebrity blowing their stack in transit, as the strain of being forced to constantly rough it in first class becomes too much.
A minor dispute with staff can turn into a global meltdown as egos boil over.
Certain instances have led to arrests, life bans and a soiled reputations for some of the world’s biggest names.
But when it comes to throwing their toys out of the pram, certain names are better at it than others.

10. Justin Bieber, 2011
Global popstar Bieber was told off by a Qantas air stewardess for “acting like a child” on a flight to Sydney, and that if he continued his antics he would be treated like an infant.
The Canadian allegedly refused to sit down while the plane was taxiing, and walked through to economy class to talk to his entourage.
Sounds like he was being a real baby.
9. Ivana Trump, 2009
The ex-wife of US president Donald, Ivana became irate on a commercial flight to Florida.
The then-60-year-old allegedly started screaming in the first class cabin, swearing at some children that had been running near her seat.
Trump was even accused of cursing at a baby.
She was so agitated that the plane reportedly returned to its gate and Trump was given her marching orders.
8. Gerard Depardieu, 2008
French actor Gerard Depardieu had to be removed from a flight bound for Dublin after he urinated on the carpet.
Prior to takeoff, Depardieu needed to answer nature’s call, but flight attendants said he would have to wait until they were in the air to relieve himself.
The Frenchman then decided the most appropriate action was to urinate in a bottle at the back of the cabin.
Unfortunately, he got some on the floor, and was booted off the plane while cabin crew were forced to clean up his mess.
7. Peter Buck, 2002
REM guitarist Peter Buck was arrested back in 2001 after getting rowdy on a British 747 jet.
The musician was apparently so drunk that he started pulling on flight attendants’ ties.
Buck was cleared of the charges in court, but he did not deny running amok in the first-class cabin.
6. Kevin Smith, 2010
This may be one celebrity we can actually sympathise with.
The US director was removed from a Southwest Airlines flight apparently because his weight and size were a safety concern, despite the fact that Smith claimed he could comfortably fit in his seat with the armrests down.
Smith then went on an intense Twitter tirade, and released 24 YouTube clips complaining about the prejudice.
Southwest Airlines later apologised for the incident.

5. Jonathan Rhys Meyers, 2007
Irish actor Myers is a pro when it comes to airline antics.
In 2007, the former star of The Tudors television series was arrested for being drunk at Dublin airport.
Just two years later he lashed out at staff in Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport when they refused to serve him, as he was once again too drunk.
Then in 2010, Meyers was banned from United Airlines after he became drunk and abusive in their first-class lounge at New York’s JFK airport.
4. Alec Baldwin, 2011
Former 30 Rock star kicked up a stink on board an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles in 2011 after he was told to switch off his iPad for take-off.
Baldwin was allegedly so obsessed with the game Words With Friends that he refused to put it down.
As a result, the plane was forced to return to the departure gate so the actor could be removed.
3. Naomi Campbell, 2008
Supermodel Naomi Campbell landed herself in hot water after claiming British Airways had lost her luggage.
Her meltdown progressed as she abused staff and even demanded the captain get off the plane to look for her missing bag.
She was escorted from the plane at Heathrow Airport, where she hit a police officer with her phone.
Campbell later pleaded guilty to assault, resulting in a sentence of 200 hours of community service.
2. Kyle Falconer, 2016
Scottish rocker Kyle Falconer was escorted off a Jet2 flight in handcuffs after an aggressive dispute on his way home from Spain.
The View lead singer was allegedly unhappy that his allocated seat was in a different row to his fiancée, and proceeded to abuse cabin crew and other passengers.
He was also accused of hurling homophobic abuse at one flight attendant.
Falconer caused such a fuss that the Glasgow-bound plane had to be diverted to Nantes, France where he was arrested by French police.
1. Liam Gallagher, 1998
Our top spot has to go to former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
Now notorious for his long-running feud with brother Noel, back in 1998, Liam found himself making headlines for his tussle with a cake.
Gallagher got into a heated argument with Cathay Pacific staff after he allegedly blew his stack over the scone he was given as part of his in-flight meal.
Passengers on board the plane also claimed Oasis band members were continually smoking, being rude to flight attendants and even throwing objects at people.
Following the incident, the Hong Kong-based airline banned Liam for life.
