EASYJET customers can now get the VIP treatment when flying out of Luton – by checking in at a nearby private jet terminal instead.

For almost £500, passengers can skip the busy London terminal and check in at a separate airport usually reserved for celebrities and millionaires.

According to , the budget airline is working with Signature Flight Support, who own a nearby private jet terminal, to provide the service.

A customer will pay £475 to have access to the terminal and every additional passenger in the same group will cost £120.

Guests can bypass busy airport security queues and check in from the Signature lounge, while tucking in to a range of free food and drink.

When the flight is ready to depart, passengers will be ferried directly to the aircraft in a chauffeur-driven car.

A message on Signature Flight Support's website reads: “Now you can enjoy a leisurely, private aviation experience even when taking a commercial flight."

It continues: “The only difference between a Signature ELITE Class commercial flight and a trip on a private aircraft is the flight itself.

“You never touch your bags, you will never stand in queue, instead, relax in our luxurious lounge, then ride in comfort to board your flight.”

The price point is likely to put most passengers off though, given that most people choose easyJet because of the cheap ticket price.

For £475, the person could probably make the same journey in BA’s Business Class and have access to the BA lounge at Heathrow.
