WHILE the value of the pound has plunged in the last year, there is some good news for travellers - flight prices to all destinations from the UK have dropped ten per cent over the last 12 months.
New data has also revealed a six per cent drop in price across flights outside of Europe and 7.5 percent for domestic flights.
For travellers wanting to jet off somewhere far away this year but are worried about the cost, has revealed that Vancouver tops the charts with an 18 per cent drop in prices year on year, which could save a family of four over £500.
The Canadian city was closely followed by Boston and Hong Kong which have seen a 13 per cent and 14 per cent drop in prices respectively.
Couples looking for a late summer break should consider Havana, which has seen flight prices drop by £78.81.
The study by the global travel search engine also revealed that the best time to book flights is 18 weeks in advance, and the cheapest month to travel is September.
That means anyone hoping for an end-of-summer break should aim to book in May.

Skyscanner’s travel editor Cat McGloin said: “We have seen an average ten per cent drop in flight prices over the last year, but what we are now able to see is where the biggest drops are for those long haul destinations.
"This shows travellers that those far flung locations might be more affordable than they think.
"Finding cheap prices can be easily if travellers are flexible, choosing to depart from a different airport or changing the date of travel are just two quick hacks to consider."
