GERMANY'S Europa-Park has revealed what to expect from it's new ride opening this year.
Based on the park's mice mascots, the attraction combines gaming and a dark ride for an exciting racing experience.
Europa-Park is approaching its 50th anniversary and is celebrating with the new ride.
Featuring the park's mice mascots Ed and Edda, the new ride will be the equivalent of a ghost train with an interactive gaming element.
The ride will be based on the upcoming film, 'Grand Prix of Europe', a cartoon film that stars Ed and Edda voiced by Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Gemma Arterton.
Named the 'Grand Prix EDventure', people on the ride will join Ed and Edda’s racing crew and take an exciting trip across Europe.
Europa-Park isn't stopping there either as they're about to release an Ed and Edda video game.
Called 'Ed & Edda: Grand Prix – Racing Champions', players will get the chance to race across the biggest locations across Europe in order to win and claim first place.
Other events are also launching at the park to celebrate it's birthday.
On the first day it reopens for the season, the theme park will stay open until midnight.
They will then unveil Ed and Edda's new interactive ride as well as hold themed food and music festivals.
They've also got shows for all ages, parades with huge floats and colourful costumes - and they'll even fly an airship over the park.
Europa-Park is Germany's biggest theme park, which is 230 acres outside of Rust.
The park has themed areas transporting you to different countries, from France to England, Ireland, Croatia and Iceland.
There is a waterpark and over 100 attractions, their tallest being Silver Star - a rollercoaster that is a terrifying 240ft high and a drop of 220ft.
Europa-Park was eve awarded the 'Golden Ticket Award' last year for being the Best Amusement Park Worldwide, winning it for the ninth time.
Some people have even said it's "better than Disneyland," so no wonder it welcomes over five million visitors every year.
Day tickets for adults start at €52 (£43.48) with tickets for children between four and 11 starting at €44 (£36.79)
The Sun Travel went to Europa-Park, and this is what we made of it – we were particularly impressed by the wooden rollercoaster.
