Laura's love for travel goes beyond filming and she's named some of her favourite places to go from the Bahamas to France

The 42 year old, who has been presenting the show for 12 years, is a huge fan of Eurocamp parks - which have locations across the likes of France, Spain, Croatia and Italy.

Laura told Sun Travel: "If you've got kids, then the Eurocamps in France are great.

"You can stay in a lodge and the kids' activities are second to none."

Laura's favourite Eurocamp site for a holiday with her two children, Rocco, 12, and Tahlia, 10, was the Pomport Beach campsite near Monbazillac, Dordogne.

She added: "The kids love getting to do a bit of wild swimming in the lakes and horse riding. It's a fun holiday for them."

She also loves taking her family to mainland Spain, including, unusually for Brits... skiing.

The travel presenter is a big fan of the mountain sport, and has taken her family numerous times over the years.

She is particularly fond of Spanish skiing, as it can often be more cost effective.

She said: "Sierra Nevada in Spain is not well-known to the UK market for skiing, but it's quite affordable.

"There's a really good app through Wise, a corporate transfer card. On their , they advise people on some really good affordable ski holidays."

The handy website offers insight into the most affordable places for a ski trip with information on exchange rates as well as the average price of food and hotels.

Laura's love for travel goes beyond filming for A Place in the Sun and she explained that she started globetrotting without her parents when she was 16.

She said: "I went on my very first holiday on my own the day after I got my GCSE results. I flew out to Portugal to go and visit my childhood boyfriend at the time." The pair went on to travel around New York and Paris.

Now a mum of two, Laura believes her kids will follow in her footsteps when it comes to travelling. "I don't have any shadow of a doubt my kids are going to be like me because they've grown up exploring.

"I do joke that if I dropped Rocco and Tahlia at an airport and said to them they need to get on a flight, that they would know exactly what they were doing."
