Four airports stop ALL flights to clear heavy snow covering runways – sparking knock-on delays for thousands of Brits
FOUR airports were forced to close their runways this morning as the Met Office issued another three weather warnings for snow and ice.
Passengers set to jet off from Bristol, Liverpool John Lennon, Manchester and Aberdeen Airport were thrown into chaos as every flight was halted.
Down south, Bristol bosses grounded planes until 8am while staff worked to clear the tarmac.
In a post online the airport said: "Passenger announcement, due to the ongoing weather conditions all flights have been currently suspended... further announcements will be made once information is available.";
Liverpool John Lennon Airport closed for snow clearing & anti-icing - with it expecting to reopen at 10.30am.
The airport said: "Snow is currently affecting the Airport. There may be some flight delays so please check with your airline directly and allow plenty of travel time.

"Safety is our uppermost priority so thank you for your patience whilst we clear the concrete surfaces and runway before re-opening."
Aberdeen Airport, in Scotland, also shut - with flights heading to London, Amsterdam and Norway having to be cancelled.
The Scottish airport has since reopened.
All travellers are still however being urged to check their flights before travelling to the airport in a bid to avoid chaos for thousands.

The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice across the Bristol area on Monday - stretching as far as Blackpool.
The warning, which was in place until 10am on Tuesday, warned of travel disruption as sleet and snow hit.
A further two alerts have been issued for Northern Ireland and the majority of Scotland.
It comes as Manchester airport reopens its two runways after closing them for the third consecutive day because of snow.
The airport announced at 2am the runways were closed "due to heavy snow", and shortly after 5am said they had reopened.
It said in a statement: "Our runways are now open, but as a result of the earlier closure, some departures and arrivals may still experience delays.
"Please check with your airline for the latest updates and allow extra time for your journey."
At least 23 flights due to arrive between 4.40pm on Monday and 1am on Tuesday were diverted to other airports, affecting around 4,000 passengers.
