She said: “It was a lovely drive. When we arrived, it was blowing like heck on the beach, so we sheltered inside , which was lovely and welcoming and had amazing views to Anglesey and Puffin Island.

We had fish and chips (£12.95) but the fish chowder is also meant to be delicious.”

Best place to take kids

As well as Italian coffee and pizzas made using a secret family recipe, they serve Italian ice creams (gelato), ranging from single scoops (£3.10) to sundaes (£9.45 for a knickerbocker glory).

Best place for ice cream

For those holidaying in North Wales, you can’t beat an ice cream from in Llandudno.

All made on site using local ingredients, the flavours vary from salted caramel to vegan banana oreo.

Tip: Along with waffle cones and other sweet treats, they sell “take home tubs” so you can enjoy the ice cream back at your caravan (£12 each).
