The best fish and chips with a view and beachfront pubs in Wales chosen by our readers
IF you're heading off to Wales this year, hoping for some great pubs grub, chippies and ice cream sundaes to enjoy in the sunshine - you're in luck.
We’ve done the hard work for you, by find out some of the best places to refuel in the most popular Welsh holiday spots.
We’ve chatted to Wales experts and Sun readers who have been on £9.50 Holidays in Wales, to get their recommendations of the best places to eat and drink near some of our £9.50 holiday parks.

Best cafe with a view
June Williams, 74, from Knighton in Radnorshire, Wales, stayed at Parkdean Resorts Ty Mawr.
On one rainy day during her holiday, she headed half an hour along the coast to the seaside resort of Llandudno.

She said: “It was a lovely drive. When we arrived, it was blowing like heck on the beach, so we sheltered inside , which was lovely and welcoming and had amazing views to Anglesey and Puffin Island.
We had fish and chips (£12.95) but the fish chowder is also meant to be delicious.”
Best place to take kids
, a parent blogger from south Wales, recommends in Mumbles, Swansea.
As well as Italian coffee and pizzas made using a secret family recipe, they serve Italian ice creams (gelato), ranging from single scoops (£3.10) to sundaes (£9.45 for a knickerbocker glory).
Steph said: “Mumbles is a great day out for all ages. It has a coastal path, perfect for a stroll, scoot or cycle along the seafront. Let the little ones stop for a play in the playground, or sit and enjoy an ice cream at Verdi’s, before heading down to the pier.”
Best place for ice cream
For those holidaying in North Wales, you can’t beat an ice cream from in Llandudno.
All made on site using local ingredients, the flavours vary from salted caramel to vegan banana oreo.
Tip: Along with waffle cones and other sweet treats, they sell “take home tubs” so you can enjoy the ice cream back at your caravan (£12 each).
We ordered beef in a black bean sauce (£7.20) and chicken chow mein (£6.90).”
You could also opt for a set menu, from £10.50 for two courses, and the restaurant can deliver to your caravan.
She said: “It’s the oldest pub in Porthcawl. It’s good value, and they have a nice beer garden if it’s sunny.
She said: “They sell the best fish and chips. It’s a family business that’s been around for over 80 years. It’s a little bit expensive, but so good.”
A Beale’s cod and chips costs £10.50 takeaway, or £12.95 to dine in. Kids’ cod bites cost £6.20.
This one offers great value for money, with a large cod and chips costing just £5.75 (or £4.50 for a small). They also have a kids’ menu, with a children’s cod and chips costing £2.95.
