TUI launches new UK flight route to Spanish destination dubbed ‘island of eternal spring’
And the two long-haul flights TUI is also launching
TUI is launching new flights to a pretty Spanish island - which is said to be like spring all year round.
The tour operator confirmed the new flight route will operate from Cardiff Airport to Fuerteventura next year.

The route is a first from the airport for TUI, who operate a number of other flights from the Welsh airport.
Launching from December 20, 2025, the second-largest of the Canary Islands is often a winter sun destination due to it's year-round mild weather.
The island is even known for its "popcorn beach" - where the stones look like small pieces of white popcorn.
The tour operator hasn't confirmed how many flights a week it will operate, however it will continue into summer 2026.

It isn't the only new additional as part of TUI's huge expansion at Cardiff Airport.
TUI is doubling its flights from Gran Canaria next winter, with a second weekly flight.
And Tenerife flights will increase from three a week to four a week from next December as well.
TUI UK&I Commercial Director Phillip Iveson said they were "thrilled" to launch the exclusive new routes.

He added: "We know that Welsh holidaymakers love the Canary Islands, and this increase in capacity means they can now fly more frequently and at more convenient times."
Spencer Birns, CEO of Cardiff Wales Airport added: "This announcement means TUI now has 26 destinations on sale from Cardiff."

Earlier this year, TUI also confirmed two new long-haul routes from Cardiff will launch.
From February 2026, flights to Barbados will launch, followed by Cancun in March.
Other new TUI routes next summer include London Luton to Paphos, London Gatwick to Porto, London Stansted to Enfidha and East Midlands to Burgas and Boa Vista.
And the tour operator returned to Southampton Airport earlier this year - the first time since 2009.
But it's not just TUI expanding its Cardiff flights.
Icelandic airline PLAY launched flights from Cardiff for the first time ever, connecting Wales to Reykjavik in Iceland.
Passengers can also connect with PLAY airlines to US destinations too, including Washington, New York, Boston and Baltimore.

What is a holiday to Fuerteventura like?

Ryanair also launched new flights from Cardiff earlier this year, to Alicante, and Tenerife.
These join the existing Ryanair flights from Cardiff Airport to Dublin, Malaga, and Faro.
