Experts reckon this is the cheapest day to fly away on holiday this summer

EVERYONE knows that when it comes to booking flights, it’s cheaper the earlier you buy.
But if you’re one of those mavericks who insists on waiting until a few weeks before your holiday to purchase tickets, there are some rules that can help make sure you still get a bargain.
CheapAir.com has done extensive research on what the best days are every month for a low-price fare.
While summer flights are overall priced higher than typical fares in the spring, autumn or winter, you can still find discounts if you know where to look (or at least avoid paying through the nose).

To begin with, by avoiding flights on the weekend and opting instead to travel on a Tuesday or Wednesday, you can save an average of £50 per flight, which adds up to £200 for a family of four.
Late July and early August are the most expensive times the year to fly and June is the cheapest.
So, taking into account that mid-week is cheaper to fly than weekends, and June is considerably less expensive than July or August - the flight comparison website has worked out that the cheapest day to fly this summer is June 6.
According to the report, the most expensive day in August to travel is the 6th, although on average, flights in August are 7 percent cheaper than flights in July.
