Part of the Yas Island area, the 1.65million sqft attraction was the largest indoor theme park in the world, before being beaten by one in China last year.

Inside are six themed zones, with 29 rides and experiences.

There is the Warner Bros Complex, the central land that celebrates the "Golden Age of Hollywood" with shops and restaurants.

This includes photo zones and souvenir shops as well as the evening theatrical show hosted by Bugs Bunny, the All-Star Spectacular.

Guests can then choose between their favourite DC superhero, with both a Gotham and Metropolis land.

Gotham's main rides are Batman: Knight Flight, a high speed dark ride, and The Riddler Revolution coaster.

Otherwise the Metropolis themed land has four rides - this includes the 5D Justice League: Warworld Attacks where you join Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.

There is also the Green Lantern: Galactic Odyssey 4D flying ride, a 3D Superman 360: Battle for Metropolis and a training academy for kids.

Another land is Bedrock, a Flintstones themed land with a rive ride and restaurants, as well as Dynamite Gulch, with rides where you join Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner.

And Cartoon Junction is a mix of the many Warner Bros animations, including Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny and Scooby Doo.

Universal reveal huge on-site hotel opening and new Epic Universe theme park

The theme park also has it's own on-site hotel, with the £750million complex opening in 2020.

And in 2022, the park revealed plans for a Harry Potter themed land.

Little else is known about it in regards to its rides and opening date.

However, the website states: "A new magical adventure is coming to our theme park!

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is just 15 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport and 50 minutes from Dubai.

Abu Dhabi remains warm all year round, hitting highs of 40C in summer although the inside is fully air conditioned.

The area has other amazing theme parks too, including Yas Waterworld and Ferrari World.

What is it like to visit the theme park?

The Sun's Becky Pemberton visited the theme park when it opened in 2018 - here's what she thought.

It’s not just the rides that steal the show, with no detail spared when it comes to the design of each world.

I satisfied my inner child sitting in the Flintstones’ car and seeing the Scooby Doo iconic Mystery Machine up close.

You could easily spend the day at the park, and without painful queues in the heat, you won’t find yourself flagging.

With cartoon characters that will evoke nostalgia for the adults it definitely offers something special for kids and “big kids” too.

Single day tickets start from £72 and includes all rides, free parking and shuttle bus.

The Sun's Assistant Travel Editor visited Abu Dhabi earlier this year - here's here verdict.
