European airline restarts route from major UK airport – after being forced to suspend them earlier this year
BRUSSELS Airlines has restarted its flights from Birmingham Airport after operations were suspended earlier this year.
Flights between the two cities with the airline were halted in the summer.
It was widely reported that the airline ceased operations at Birmingham Airport to "focus on more profitable leisure routes".
However, the route has been reinstated just months after it was axed by the airline.
Six flights will operate between the two destinations every week.
Flights will depart Brussels at 3.45pm local time, arriving in the UK at 4pm.

"We are delighted to welcome back Brussels Airlines to our portfolio of airlines ensuring we really are on our way to serving the Midlands."
This isn't the only announcement the airline has made in recent weeks, with its cabins set to be overhauled.
In September, the European airline revealed its huge expansion plans, which included a €100million (£85million) revamp of its cabins
The new interiors will be found on its long-haul flights, with the airline's economy, premium economy and business class cabins all set to be updated.
Brussels Airlines boss, Dorothea von Boxberg, previously said: "The multi-million investment in cabin interior allows us to offer our customers an even more premium experience.
"This is a moment of pride for everyone at Brussels Airlines.
"It’s with great pleasure that we will offer more connections to our increasing number of passengers on our growing network."
Brussels Airlines will also add three new Airbus A330 aircraft to its fleet, increasing the number to 13.
Currently, Brussels Airlines has flights from a number of London airports, as well as Manchester Airport, Bristol Airport and Newcastle International Airport.
The airline has also won a number of awards this year, including Europe's Leading Airline Lounge at the World Travel Awards.
